François-Xavier Oliveau is a French engineer, manager and investor. He currently supports the environmental transition of ETIs through a fund dedicated to sustainable investment.

His varied career has taken him to a number of senior management positions, notably in the industrial and energy efficiency sectors. He was also a consultant at BCG. He has extensive experience in a wide range of innovative sectors linked to the environmental transition.

Since 2003, François-Xavier Oliveau has been interested in the impact of technology and innovation on the economy, society and the environment. A contributor to the report L'écosystème de la croissance on competitive clusters in France, in 2005 he created the first course dedicated to innovation at Sciences Po.

Since then, he has been a regular contributor to public debate, notably through think tanks such as Génération Libre and Institut Sapiens.

His first essay, Microcapitalisme (2017, PUF) won the Turgot jury prize. He has also published La crise de l'abondance (2021, Editions de l'Observatoire). His contributions are both well-documented and often surprising, countering conventional wisdom and conveying a fighting optimism.

François-Xavier Oliveau is an engineer from Ecole Centrale Paris and a graduate of Sciences Po Paris. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
